Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage (MLD)
Lymphatic Work:
Encouraging Flow and Vitality

What is Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)
MLD is a gentle and deeply relaxing massage technique that stretches the skin in specific directions to open the tiny lymphatic vessels and allow the interstitial fluid to enter. This technique can increase lymphatic flow up to 10 times resting rate. Moving this fluid decreases inflammation (edema), filters/cleanses the fluid (detoxify), which speeds the healing process, stimulates the immune system and brings balance (homeostasis) to the body.
Why It Helps:
-
Gently stimulates the lymphatic system to boost detoxification and immune function
-
Can increase lymph flow up to 10x the normal rate, accelerating healing and reducing inflammation
-
Supports recovery from surgery, injury, or joint replacement
-
Helps manage lymphedema and chronic swelling (edema)
-
Promotes deep relaxation and nervous system regulation
-
Enhances skin and tissue health by clearing metabolic waste and excess fluids
-
Encourages overall balance (homeostasis) in the body
Who Benefits:
